10 Tips to Consider Before Year End
~ A Note from Gil Davis, CPA / PFS ~

Contributions to a college savings plan are now deductible for Pennsylvania tax purposes.
If you're over 70 1/2, you can now make charitable contributions directly from your IRA and possibly save significant Federal taxes.
If you're an employer with a 401(k), you should be considering the new Roth contribution option for your plan.
If you are an employee and your 401(k) plan has a Roth feature, you should be considering this option.
Alternative Minimum Tax will apply to more taxpayers than ever before in 2006. Consider having a projection done so you are not caught by surprise.
Don't forget to rebalance your retirement assets at least once a year.
My favorite new car for the year is the Toyota Camry, but don't buy it new.
(p.s. And a hybrid of any kind is still not a good deal).
If your wills, health care affidavits, and powers of attorney are more than 5 years old, consider having them updated.
Want to save MORE?!  Prepare a budget and review your spending. This is critical for businesses.
If you've never had a financial plan prepared, take a walk on the wild side and call me (412-881-4411). They're painless and free if you mention this email.
BONUS Do something nice for someone. The returns will far exceed anything I could generate for you in the stock market.
